Course Equivalencies
Advanced Placement (AP) and or International Baccalaureate (IB) credit will not be accepted for the following prerequisite coursework: General Biology, Microbiology, English Composition, and Organic Chemistry.
AP or IB credit may be accepted for the following prerequisites: General Chemistry, Calculus, Humanities and Social Sciences. Applicants who have completed additional upper-level coursework will be given preference in the process of screening for interview. The Admissions Committee reserves the right of final decision with regard to acceptable prerequisite coursework.

*Students who earn a 4 on the AP chemistry test or a 5, 6, or 7 on the HL IB test will need to take additional general chemistry coursework, either the final general chemistry course, or an upper level course like inorganic lecture, inorganic lab or quantitative analysis.
**Students who earn an AP English test score of 4 or 5 will be given Humanities elective credit NOT English composition credit.
***Please note that the University of Washington refers to humanities courses as VLPA and social science courses as I&S. Humanities=VLPA and Social Science=I&S
AP or IB Test Score Sheets are only required if needed to show AP/IB scores are being counted toward prerequisite coursework.
AP applicants should request test scores using Code Number 5981 which is specific to the University of Washington School of Pharmacy. CLEP credits are not accepted.
