Since 2011, The Plein Center has had a partnership with Era Living, a local company that owns and operates eight Seattle-area retirement communities. They offer independent and assisted living options, and some communities provide more skilled memory care. This partnership provides opportunities to increase education and support to residents and staff members alike. The Plein Center faculty and PharmD students work to develop innovative ways to optimize older adults’ medication use while promoting healthy aging. Working together we:
- Provide education for residents relating to medicines and other timely health care topics
- Contribute monthly newsletter articles
- Facilitate research focusing on topics of importance for older adults
- Provide resident and staff consultations with a clinical pharmacist
