Geriatric Pharmacotherapy Postdoctoral Research Fellowship

The University of Washington (UW) School of Pharmacy’s Plein Center for Geriatric Pharmacy Research, Education & Outreach offers a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in geriatric pharmacotherapy research. The UW School of Pharmacy has nationally and internationally recognized core and affiliated faculty members, with funded research programs and extensive mentoring experience. The fellowship goals are to:

  1. provide intensive mentored research experience by UW faculty in preparation for an independent research career in geriatric pharmacotherapy research;
  2. provide opportunities to gain academic teaching experience;
  3. provide opportunities to develop mentoring skills by supervision of trainee research projects; and
  4. develop and master academic skills such as writing grant applications and manuscripts, presentation at professional meetings, and reviewing manuscripts.

Research topics focus on geriatric pharmacoepidemiology and pharmaceutical outcomes research.

Application Process:

Applicants should possess a PharmD (applicants do not need to be licensed in Washington state) and should preferably have a doctoral research degree (PhD) in epidemiology, health services research, or a similar field. A competitive stipend with benefits and travel support is provided.
