Interview Process

Class of 2029 Interviews

The program will be offering virtual and in-person interview formats. Applicants invited to interview will be emailed their interview confirmation details after their interview date is confirmed.

Interview Selection

Not all applicants will be invited to interview, but an interview is a prerequisite for admissions offers. Only applicants who have completed the entirety of the PharmCAS application will be considered for interview. After applications are evaluated on the basis of the essays, recommendations, prerequisite course work, and cumulative GPAs, the most qualified candidates will be invited to interview. Interviews will typically begin in the fall and continue through spring.

Interview Days

The interview day is an opportunity for applicants to learn more about our School and for our faculty to learn more about each applicant. The interview day will include:

  • Meet and greet with members of the faculty leadership team and admissions staff
  • Two one-on-one interviews with members of the PharmD admissions team. Each interview will last approximately 25 minutes.
  • Q&A with a panel of current PharmD students
  • Admissions Overview session
  • In-person interviews will include an optional UW campus tour

The One-On-One Interview

The interview is an important part of the PharmD Admissions Process. During the interview, applicants can expect to engage in a conversation led by a School of Pharmacy interviewer. Before the interview, applicants should familiarize themselves with the values and attributes of the Husky Pharmacist. See PharmD Application Criteria (washington.edu) for additional details. We aim to admit a class that will fully embody the traits of the Husky Pharmacist upon graduation from the PharmD program.

Decision Timeline

Applicants are reviewed on a rolling basis. Rolling admission means that applications are reviewed in the order that they are received. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply early in the application cycle and to sign up for the earliest possible interview day. Most applicants will receive their admission decision 1-2 weeks after the interview.
