Class of 2028 Interviews

All PharmD interviews conducted during the 2023-2024 academic year will take place in a virtual format. Applicants invited to interview will be emailed their interview link after their interview date is confirmed.

Interview Selection

All applicants are required to interview as part of the UW School of Pharmacy PharmD Admissions process. Only applicants who have completed the entirety of the PharmCAS application will be considered for interview and admission. Applications are initially assessed on their essays, recommendations, prerequisite and cumulative GPAs with the most qualified candidates invited to interview. Offers of interview are dependent upon the size and competitiveness of the applicant pool. Interviews will begin in October and continue through May.

Interview Days

The virtual interview day is an opportunity for applicants to learn more about our School and for our faculty to learn more about each applicant’s fit with our program. The interview day will include:

  • Meet and greet with members of the faculty leadership team and admissions staff
  • Two one-on-one interviews with members of the PharmD admissions team. Each interview will last approximately 25 minutes.
  • Q&A with a panel of current PharmD students
  • Admissions Overview

The One-On-One Interview

The interview is an extremely important part of the PharmD Admissions Process. During the interview, applicants are evaluated in a variety of areas including motivation, communication skills, personal attributes, critical thinking and decision-making abilities, knowledge of the pharmacy profession, and issues affecting health care. Before the interview, applicants should familiarize themselves with the values and attributes of the Husky Pharmacist.  We aim to admit a class that will fully embody the traits of the Husky Pharmacist upon graduation from the PharmD program.
