Tell us why you chose UW.
I chose UW because of all the opportunities available in Seattle. The city has many resources for networking and securing internships. UW also emphasized interdisciplinary collaboration across different professions. This exposure is essential and truly reflects the collaboration pharmacists will need to be involved in.
What led you to study pharmacy?
I majored in Chemistry during my undergraduate years and fell in love with science! I joined a lab that focused on synthesizing nanoparticles and became interested in different drug delivery methods. I have always envisioned myself as a healthcare provider and someone who can help the community, and I thought pharmacy was a great combination of all my interests.

What experiences at the UW have been the most influential to you?
I’ve already learned so much through the coursework and I’m only in my second quarter. Seeing my growth and learning has pushed me to keep going! I also have met many great faculty and peers that truly want to help us grow and become the best pharmacists we can be.

What do you want to do following your UW education?
Once I get more experience in different areas, I will have a better idea. I don’t want to box myself in just yet!

What are your future aspirations or goals?
Ultimately, wherever I am a pharmacist, I want to be able to help patients and make sure their medications are appropriate for them.

Tell us about your in-school activities?
I am not a part of any clubs at the moment. However, outside of school I intern at Swedish First Hill.

What is one piece of advice that you have for potential new students or one thing you wish you knew before beginning your studies?
Your peers will be your future coworkers! Get to know them and treat everyone with kindness.

What is a fun or interesting fact about you?
I like to work out and go to the gym!
