Congratulations to Yitong Guo, a graduate student in our Department of Pharmaceutics, on receiving the University of Washington Graduate School’s 2026 Distinguished Thesis Award in Biological & Life Sciences!
Yitong was recognized for her thesis, “Injectable Microbiome-Derived Metabolite Nano-Prodrugs for Sustained Immune Modulation in Autoimmune Arthritis.”
The Distinguished Thesis Award recognizes exceptional master’s-level scholarship and research, with recipients selected for the originality, significance and disciplinary contributions of their work.
Working with Professor Shijie Cao in the Department of Pharmaceutics, Yitong is exploring innovative approaches that bring together microbiome-derived metabolites, drug delivery and immune modulation.
