UWSOP rises to #7 in U.S. News and World Report rankings

The U.S. News and World Report today released the 2021 edition of its Best Graduate Schools rankings, and UWSOP has been named the No.7 pharmacy program in the nation.

The report, which is released every four years, ranked the school No. 9 in 2017.

“To see our program evolve the way it has over the last four years, and to continually garner the respect and admiration of our peers is inspiring,” said Sean D. Sullivan, professor and dean of the School of Pharmacy.

Sullivan noted that though he’s proud the program has consistently ranked in the report’s top 10 over the last decade, this year’s designation is particularly meaningful. The global threat of the COVID-19 pandemic has been a call to arms for the School – from faculty and researchers to students and alumni – and they have taken up the challenge head-on.

“I am extremely proud of our entire school community,” said Sullivan. “With the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping our communities and introducing new challenges to our health care systems, our stellar team of faculty, students and alumni are pooling their talents and expertise to care for our patients and inform the public.

“Whether it’s utilizing the potential of the virtual classroom, or exploring innovative solutions in the research lab – or in the field – our team is leading and inspiring one another in the face of this new challenge with compassion and conviction.”
