SOP students shine at NCPA competition

In honor of National Pharmacy Week, let’s take a moment to celebrate some of our fantastic future pharmacists, including our PY3 and PY2 students, who recently placed 3rd nationally in the NCPA Business Plan Competition.

This annual competition requires students to submit a 40-page business plan requesting a bank loan to buy or start a pharmacy. The written plans are graded by judges from across the U.S., and the top 3 teams are invited to the NCPA annual convention to present those plans to judges for the live competition.

Over the last year, these students have spent countless hours creating this plan to bring their ideas to life. It required dedication, entrepreneurship, and above all teamwork. We are proud to say they represented UW well at the live competition and are leading the way to a bright future for community pharmacy.
