Ruger StufflebeamUWSOP PharmD student Ruger Stufflebeam has been selected for the 2023 United States Public Health Service Excellence in Public Health Pharmacy Award!

This award recognizes pharmacy students who make significant contributions to public health, including advancing the objectives of Healthy People 2030, the Surgeon General’s priorities, and the pharmacy profession.

Nominated by UWSOP faculty, Ruger was chosen for his pivotal role in advancing pharmacy and public health services for the people in Skagit County. He designs collaborative pathways with local providers and reimagines pharmacy workflow to enhance services, including COVID-19 immunizations and treatment, training staff, assessing program outcomes and incorporating improvements to enhance service quality.

“While there remains substantial work ahead of us, this award signifies we are heading in the right direction.”

Ruger will be presented the formal award at the School of Pharmacy Graduate Recognition event in June 2023.
