Tell us why you chose the University of Washington (UW)

I chose to go to UW because of the highly ranked health sciences programs and great research opportunities.

What experiences at the UW have been the most influential to you?

Being active in RSOs (registered student organizations) like Voyage UW, participating in first-year programs like UWILD, and exploring my interests through specialized courses are some of the most impactful parts of my time at UW.

How has research impacted your Husky Experience?

Research with Michelle Guignet, PhD has made my Husky Experience more memorable by helping me apply concepts I’ve learned in class to practical situations as well as with developing my critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

What do you want to do following graduation?

My current plan is to take a gap year to work and travel a bit before applying to graduate school. I’m not quite sure what I want to study yet.

What is one piece of advice that you have for students who want to get involved in research?

You don’t need to know everything before joining a lab- what matters is your willingness to learn.

What is a fun or interesting fact about you?

I have been to 23 countries
