First-Year Student Pharmacist Fellow of the UW Latino Center for Health

Malik WilliamsFirst-year PharmD candidate Malik Williams has been selected for the UW Latino Center for Health (LCH) Graduate Student Fellowship, a noteworthy program supporting future healthcare leaders dedicated to serving Latinx communities.

As part of an elite cohort of 16 graduate students across Washington State, Williams will receive financial support, mentorship and interdisciplinary collaboration opportunities aimed at expanding access to bilingual and culturally responsive healthcare.

“I’m incredibly blessed and honored to be selected as one of the 2025 Graduate Student Fellows,” Williams reflects. “Thank you to the Latino Center for Health for this opportunity and for continuing to invest in the next generation of healthcare leaders dedicated to equity and inclusion,” he continues. “It’s a privilege to join a dynamic cohort of graduate students from across Washington State who are passionate about expanding access to bilingual and culturally responsive care for Latine communities. I’m committed to using my platform – and future career – to help advance healthcare equity.”

With a growing demand for Latinx and Spanish-speaking healthcare professionals, this program plays a crucial role in strengthening the future of equitable healthcare in Washington state.
