CHOICE Institute PhD student Emma M. Cousin, PharmD, and Professor Sean D. Sullivan, BScPharm, PhD, published an article in the October 2024 issue of the Journal of Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy titled “Drugs Anticipated to be Selected for the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program in 2025”. The study was completed in collaboration with Dr. Inma Hernandez and her research team at the University of California, San Diego. In this study, the authors identified high-spending Part D products likely to be included in the second round of negotiations in the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program. This work brings to light the challenges and complexities involved in selecting eligible drugs for the negotiation program.
