Monday, December 7 and Tuesday, December 8, 2026 · Husky Union Building (HUB), Room 332
A Behavioural Experiments in Health network (BEHnet) workshop hosted by The CHOICE Institute, UW School of Pharmacy. Two days of behavioral and experimental research on health-related decision making, with a keynote by Kevin Volpp.

Downtown Seattle, the Space Needle and Mount Rainier from Kerry Park.
The Comparative Health Outcomes, Policy and Economics (CHOICE) Institute at the University of Washington is pleased to host the 11th Workshop in Behavioral and Experimental Health Economics in Seattle on December 7 and 8, 2026. The workshop brings together economists and behavioral scientists who apply behavioral economics insights and experimental methods to study health-related decision making. It is part of the activities of the Behavioural Experiments in Health network (BEHnet).
The program covers economic aspects of health-related decision making, such as preferences, incentives and institutions, studied with behavioral and experimental economics approaches. Accepted work includes online, laboratory and field experiments, quasi-experimental designs, observational studies and theory. The two days combine long presentations of about 30 minutes with 5-minute lightning talks accompanied by posters.
The call for papers closed on August 31, 2026, and authors were notified in early October. The full program lists the accepted presentations. Participation beyond presenters and poster authors is subject to availability, so if you would like to attend without presenting, please contact The CHOICE Institute at uwsopchoice@uw.edu.
