Melissa Barker-Haliski publishes Alzheimer’s disease study in Neurobiology of Disease

Plein Center faculty member, Melissa Barker-Haliski, PhD, was senior author on a paper published in Neurobiology of Disease studying the relationship between Alzheimer’s disease genes and seizures in a mouse model. In this paper, investigators from the University of Washington’s Departments of Pharmacy and Neurology adapted a model of chronic seizures for aged rodents in order to uncover age-related changes in susceptibility to seizure onset and anti-seizure drug efficacy in mice with Alzheimer’s disease.
