The Elmer M. Plein Endowed Research Fund has been established to encourage, promote and support research and innovative practice in pharmacy.

Post Doctoral Fellowship in Pharmacokinetics

Experiences include analytical methodology, noninvasive pharmacodynamic measurement techniques, protocol development and implementation, biostatistics, data collection and analysis, manuscript preparation. Opportunities for additional coursework and teaching pharmacy students.

Post Doctoral Fellowship in Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research and Policy

The University of Washington/Allergan Fellowship and the University of Washington/Bayer Fellowship in Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research and Policy combines the resources of a leading academic center for pharmaceutical economics and policy with the dynamic, real-world training of two major pharmaceutical companies recognized for their commitment to innovation. Fellows will train for one-year at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington working closely with experienced faculty.

Fellowship in Immunology Therapeutics/Solid Organ Transplantation

Designed to train the individual to establish an independent and collaborative progressive research practice in Immunology Therapeutics and Solid Organ Transplantation.

Research activities include: protocol design, study coordination, data collection, HPLC analysis, microsomal incubations, data analysis, presentation of results and manuscript preparation. Polymerase chain reaction analysis and cell culture technique may also be involved.
