Office of Academic & Student Programs

A primary mission of the University of Washington School of Pharmacy is to prepare graduates for entry into a lifelong career in the profession of pharmacy as compassionate and innovative providers of optimal pharmaceutical care. Congruent with the School’s mission, the Office of Academic and Student Programs’ endeavors to create a supportive student environment that fosters academic excellence, personal and professional growth, and leadership in the profession and the community-at-large.

The Office of Academic and Student Programs staff are happy to assist current and prospective students with information, advising and support. From program admissions to graduation, from the Welcome to the Profession “White Coat” Ceremony to the Graduate Recognition Ceremony, we are pleased and honored to offer a variety of services and advising, including:

• Pharm.D. program admissions and advising for prospective applicants
• Orientation to the program and the School of Pharmacy
• Information on degree requirements; academic planning and progress
• Career advising and professional development opportunities
• Coordination of the curriculum, course scheduling, elective course and pathway opportunities
• Support for student organizations and activities, including patient care projects and outreach to the community
• Supplemental financial aid advising; scholarship and loan application
• Information on the graduation and pharmacist licensure application process
• Triage for student concerns with academic, personal and professional issues
• Information about campus and community support services and resources
