FINANCIAL AID

Students who would like to file for the FAFSA, need to contact the University of Washington Financial Aid Office for more information:

http://www.washington.edu/students/osfa/ The priority deadline has passed but students may still file.

SCHOOL OF PHARMACY FINANCIAL AID

The 2012-2013 School of Pharmacy Scholarships and Awards Form will NOT be available until mid May. An email will go out to all students when the application is available.

You will need your UW Net ID to fill out this form. If you have not set up a UW Net ID, please visit https://uwnetid.washington.edu/newid/ for instructions.

The contingency upon receiving the scholarship awards is that recipients will be required to attend the scholarship breakfast and work with the Office of Advancement on their thank you card process Autumn quarter, when you are given your notice of award. The scholarship breakfast will be held Winter quarter (mid-February).  Only those scholarship recipients who do not have a living donor to thank, such as the Rubenstein or the Quick Foundation, will be invited to attend the Dean's reception in the Spring instead of the scholarship breakfast. For planning purposes, you will be notified of the dates upon receipt of your notice of award in the fall, so that you can plan your work schedules to ensure Winter quarter attendance. Please note: If you have extenuating circumstances please contact the Office of Advancement, and consideration with be given on a case by case basis, wherein an alternative volunteer commitment can be arranged.

This policy which aligns with other UW Schools on campus means that, while you will know of your scholarship awards Autumn quarter, the actual disbursing of awards will not occur until the end of Winter quarter and as a condition of sending your Thank You cards and attending the scholarship breakfast. Our hope by implementing this policy, is to provide proper acknowledgement and gratitude to the many alumni and friends who make scholarships a reality.

While the endowed scholarship awards have been impacted financially in recent years, every attempt continues being made to maintain our current level of financial support for students.

The majority of the School of Pharmacy Financial Aid is based on need; students who have filed for the FAFSA will be eligible. Please note: School of Pharmacy Financial Aid is supplemental aid. Students that qualify may expect to receive $500-$1500 annually.
