Meet Your PAA Board
The Pharmacy Alumni Association (PAA) is made possible by you, our UW School of Pharmacy alumni. Below are the PAA executive board members – your peers who help support the organization with their time and leadership. They welcome your input and invite you to join them as they lead the organization into another great year.
President: Jennifer Glasco, PharmD
Jennifer graduated from the UW School of Pharmacy in 2009. She completed her pharmacy practice residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center and went on to work there as an inpatient pharmacist and inpatient lead pharmacist. She is now pharmacist for Informatics and Quality at The Polyclinic. Previously, she worked as an intern pharmacist at Bartell Drugs and as program manager for the UW Department of Bioengineering. During her time as a student, she served in many leadership roles, including director of outreach for the Unified Professional Pharmacy Organizations of Washington (UPPOW).
Immediate Past President: Jenny Arnold, PharmD
Jenny graduated from the UW School of Pharmacy in 2006. After graduation, she completed a pharmacy practice residency at Swedish Medical Center and then began working for Kelley-Ross Pharmacy as the clinical services manager. She now works at the Washington State Pharmacy Association as the director of professional development. She is a dedicated advisor to UPPOW and recipient of the 2011 UW School of Pharmacy Outstanding Service Award.
Chair, Alumni Recognition: Ryan Oftebro, PharmD
Ryan is a pharmacist and co-owner of Kelley-Ross and Associates, Inc., which consists of four pharmacies in Seattle. Ryan received his PharmD from the UW in 2003, and completed a community practice residency in 2004. Ryan currently oversees community and clinical services at Kelley-Ross, which include programs with the Polyclinic and other community-based healthcare organizations. Ryan is has previously held a board position with the Washington State Pharmacy Association and is currently the region 11 director for the American College of Apothecaries as well as a clinical associate professor with the UW School of Pharmacy.
Chair, Katterman Committee: Adam Brothers, PharmD
Adam graduated from the UW School of Pharmacy in 2006. After graduation, he completed his pharmacy practice residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison. He returned to Seattle to take a position with the Bone Marrow Transplant service at Seattle Children’s Hospital, and has recently begun work with the Antimicrobial Stewardship Service.
Chair, Mentoring Program, and Student Liaison: Michael Ayres, PharmD
Michael grew up on the Olympic Peninsula west of Seattle, and has twice attended the University of Washington, once for his B.A. in Scandinavian Studies, and again for his PharmD in 2011. As a student, he participated in a number of research, teaching and professional activities. His primary interests then, as well as today, are teaching and mentorship, pharmacy ethics and the care of those with psychiatric illness. He is currently a clinical pharmacist at Kindred First Hill Long-term/Acute-Care Hospital.
Member-at-Large: Judi Lee Mar-Burbidge, PharmD
Judi received her BS in pharmacy in 1982, and returned to earn her PharmD in 2000. She is currently a patient-centered outcome consultant at Total Therapeutic Management Inc. She also works part time as a consultant pharmacist at NorthHaven Retirement Home and contract clinical pharmacist at the Seattle Veteran's Administration. Over the years, she has been a preceptor for students at the UW School of Pharmacy, WSU College of Pharmacy, and at pharmacy-technician programs throughout Seattle. She is also a clinical assistant professor at the UW School of Pharmacy.
- PAA Events Chair (in collaboration with the School of Pharmacy events coordinator and Advancement team, focuses on the programs and people for PAA social events)
- Membership and Marketing Chair (in collaboration with the School of Pharmacy director of communications, strategizes ways to reach out to the School's alumni body and community to attract new members in new ways)
- Eastern Washington/Regional Representative (represents the PAA remotely, collaborating with the Board to bring a non-Puget Sound region perspective to our alumni engagement efforts and event programming)
- Class Representatives (these six members-at-large would be alumni leaders whose grad year would each represent a decade from the 1950s to the 2000s)
