The Elmer M. Plein Endowed Research Fund
Guidelines
The Elmer M. Plein Endowed Research Fund has been established to encourage, promote and support research and innovative practice in pharmacy. Areas to be supported may include, but are not limited to, 1) research projects related to: geriatric pharmacy, drug metabolism and transport, pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmaceutical outcomes, pharmacoeconomics, and drug utilization; 2) demonstration projects evaluating innovative practice models; and 3) preparation of publishable scholarly reviews, books or book chapters.
Eligible Proposers
University of Washington School of Pharmacy regular faculty, clinical and affiliate faculty, current students and former graduates, research and postdoctoral fellows, and current research assistants/associates and staff scientists. Researchers outside of the University of Washington are also eligible to apply.
Award Restrictions
These awards do not cover indirect or overhead costs.
Funding
One to three awards in the range of $500 to $5,000 each will be considered. It is anticipated that no single award will exceed $5,000. The award funding is from the Elmer M. Plein Endowed Research Fund in Pharmacy.
Deadline
Proposals must be submitted by July 1, 2013 for consideration.
