Tulalip Clinical Pharmacy-UW School of Pharmacy PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency Program
At Tulalip Clinical Pharmacy (TCP), we believe in promoting individualized care to the tribal member as well as the community. We were created by the Tulalip Pharmacy Corporation to serve 3000 tribal members and our community. Our pharmacy is privileged to maintain two distinctive inventories (340-B and non-340B). We also have a contractual agreement with the Tulalip Health Clinic, an entity of the Indian Health Service. TCP is fully equipped with two counseling rooms, computers, scales, and automated blood pressure and temperature monitors. We are unique in having established multiple advance prescriptive protocols with the Tulalip Health Clinic, Dental Clinic, and Substance Abuse Clinic. Our upcoming projects include MTM services and DME.
PROGRAM MISSION
Our goal for this program is to empower the residents to make decisions that will benefit their patients and society as a whole. We foster a patient-centric model to provide both compassionate and holistic care. We believe in strengthening the Resident Pharmacist’s knowledge in managing disease states, preventative care, and developing communication skills. As a resident at Tulalip Clinical Pharmacy, you will benefit from experiences at both the pharmacy and the clinic sites. Our directors are experienced in both hospital and community pharmacy settings. What sets Tulalip Clinical Pharmacy apart from others is our ability to provide a seamless incorporation of the two models into one pharmacy.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The learning objectives are intended to give an overview into the program. They are flexible in nature and are designed to fit the resident’s needs and expectations. Currently, we offer both clinical and pharmacy services. We would like to see an integration of both practices as a means for the resident to achieve proficiency as a clinician. This is attained through rotations at both sites and maintaining a strong knowledge base through didactic teachings.
