Allan Ellsworth is a professor with the Schools of Pharmacy and Medicine, where he teaches both pharmacy and physician assistant students. He finished physician assistant training at the UW School of Medicine in 2003. He practices his brand of clinical pharmacy and medicine at Sky Valley Family Medicine, a rural family practice in Sultan, Wash. He previously practiced pharmacy and medicine in the UW Medicine Family Medical Center. His research interests include common primary-care problems and high-altitude medicine.
He has received the UW School of Pharmacy's Wayne A. Kradjan Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award, an award that goes to outstanding preceptors who are dedicated to acting as a role model and mentor. He is a member of the Washington State Pharmacy Association, Washington State Medical Association, American Academy of Physician Assistants and Washington State Academy of Physician Assistants.
