Elmer M. and Joy B. Plein Fellowship for Excellence in Pharmacy Education
The scope of the fellowship may address research and teaching efforts of the Department of Pharmacy, Medicinal Chemistry and/or Pharmaceutics depending on the interests of the successful candidate. Wide ranging research opportunities are available in the following areas with an emphasis on therapeutics; drug metabolism, drug interactions, pharmacogenetics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacoeconomics and pharmacoepidemiology.
Candidate qualifications include a PharmD with a residency or prior fellowship training or a PhD. Applicants need to demonstrate career goals consistent with a commitment to becoming faculty in a School of Pharmacy. The duration of the fellowship is one year with possibility of renewal for a second year. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The applicant pool will be evaluated by a committee composed of faculty from the Departments of Pharmacy, Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutics.
