Elmer M. Plein Endowed Research Fund

The Elmer M. Plein Endowed Research Fund has been established to encourage, promote and support research and innovative practice in pharmacy.

Post Doctoral Fellowship in Pharmacokinetics

Experiences include analytical methodology, noninvasive pharmacodynamic measurement techniques, protocol development and implementation, biostatistics, data collection and analysis, manuscript preparation. Opportunities for additional coursework and teaching pharmacy students.

Post-doc in Obstetric-fetal Pharmacology

Post Doctoral Fellowships in Health Economics & Outcomes Research

These training programs in health economics, outcomes research, and policy each combine the resources of a leading academic center for pharmaceutical economics and policy with the dynamic, real-world training of major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies recognized for their commitment to innovation. Postdoctoral fellowship students work closely with faculty in the CHOICE Institute on projects where they learn first-hand how to apply the principles of outcomes research to real-life problems. These two-year fellowships provide students with a year of study at the University of Washington and a year at the sponsoring company.

Fellowship in Immunology Therapeutics/Solid Organ Transplantation

Designed to train the individual to establish an independent and collaborative progressive research practice in Immunology Therapeutics and Solid Organ Transplantation.

Research activities include: protocol design, study coordination, data collection, HPLC analysis, microsomal incubations, data analysis, presentation of results and manuscript preparation. Polymerase chain reaction analysis and cell culture technique may also be involved.
